THURSDAY

Dad and Christina were out early this morning. They got to see wrangler Jeff feed the goats before rounding up the horses. Mom, Doug and Nick took their time getting dressed and out the door to meet up at the lodge for breakfast.

Mom, Doug and Christina went for a ride while Dad and Nick went rock climbing.

After that activity Dad and Nick went for a ride while Mom, Doug and Christina went frog hunting and exploring around the fishing pond. From the pond we could see Dad and Nick on horseback way across the canyon.

After lunch Dad and Nick went to the shooting range for target practice with powder guns and to do the tomahawk throw. Christina went kite flying and fishing with Stephanie (the activities director) while Mom and Doug went for another horseback ride together.

After the ride we headedup to the pond to meet Christina but Diablo the bull and his herd of cows was between us and them! We got nervous and didn't want to shout to them-from our vantage point it didn't seem as if they knew that the animals were on the other side of that big boulder near the pond-so we simply waited. Stephanie and Christina eventually gathered up their things and headed back to the barn. It turns out that Stephanie wasn't afraid of Diablo and just gave him a wide berth as she brought Christina down the trail from the pond. Doug and Mom were scared for nothing and felt silly afterwards!

Once Doug saw the inside of Stephanie's office and all the available arts and craft projects she invited him to do some painting. Christina decided that she wanted to paint too, so Mom took the opportunity to head back to the cabin for a quick shower since the water was finally back on! We all met back in the lodge before dinner to relax and catch up on our day.

Dinner was roast beef, baked potatoes, corn, rolls and apple pie a la mode. Afterwards everybody went down to the game room to veg. Mom and Doug played air hockey, Nick and Christina played pool, and Dad played foosball with another group of kids. Then we all played pool together. By 9:00 we headed back to the cabin.
